The Souhegan Scholarship Foundation will be presenting the following scholarships. Please, follow the application directions carefully, and read this entire page before downloading your application(s).
An essay(s) MUST accompany each application and a resume. You must also attach an official transcript to your application. If you are applying for multiple scholarships, one transcript will suffice.
Incomplete applications will not be considered for an award.

In loving memory of Joshua, who was taken from us far too soon. Applicant must be a high school senior (with permanent residency in Amherst or Mont Vernon) with a minimum 3.2 GPA. Additionally, you must demonstrate a commitment to your community by reflecting service hours and financial need. Attendance at a four-year college is not required as long as it is a program of full-time study.

In memory of Linda J. Merrill, the first registrar of SHS, who was dedicated to encouraging, supporting, and inspiring SHS students to achieve their highest potential. Awarded to a student who has overcome difficult circumstances and continues to demonstrate the ability to perform academically and in the community.

Awarded to a student who is pursuing a career in business.
Awarded to a student pursuing a career in a trade, technical or service-related field that will result in an Associate Degree, Diploma, License or Certification
(for example, Automotive, Cosmetology, Hospitality, Electrical, Plumbing, Childcare, Medical/Dental Assistant, Criminal justice, Landscape & Environmental Design).
Awarded to a student who is pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
Students from Amherst or Mont Vernon who are enrolled in either public or private schools, as well as home-schooled students, are eligible to apply. All applications for 2025 will be due March 2025 (deadline TBD). You may mail them to PO Box 323, Amherst, NH 03031 or deliver them to the Souhegan High School Student Services office at 412 Boston Post Road, in Amherst, NH.
